Legendary conductor Hans Knapperstbusch was considered one of the prime musical artists, especially of the work of Wagner due to his early close association with the Bayreuth Festival which was directed by Siegfried Wagner. This program features Knapperstbusch conducting Act One of Die Walkure, featuring the Vienna Philharmonic along with vocal soloists Claire Watson, Fritz Uhl, Josef Greindl.
